It started 25 years ago, on my mom's 40th birthday. I was tasked by my dad to make it magical, in a way that only a 13-year old can. Several rounds of pin-the-pasta-on-Mama and one burnt lasagna later (no--I am not Italian!), my love for party planning was born.

Now, as a mom of three boys who love parties as much as I do, blowing out candles has become a rite of passage into a new year of life and memories. Our celebrations and holiday traditions are like sparkly threads woven into the tapestry of our family's culture.
